Scopro quest’opera durante un’entusiasmante conferenza tenutasi alla cinématheque intitolata la camera bouge! e condotta da willy kurant, grande direttore della fotografia della nouvelle vague francese. I due estratti provengono dal film soy cuba, realizzato da mikhail kalatozov nel 1964 e rientrano sicuramente tra le operazioni più virtuose e complesse della storia del cinema, considerando l’epoca in cui sono state compiute; martin scorsese afferma che se avesse visto soy cuba agli inizi della sua carriera sarebbe stato un regista diverso. Ancora oggi ci si domanda come sia stato possibile volare in quel modo, ed è questa la magia del cinema.

The next masterpiece which I want to talk about is the “Napoleon Dynamite’s Open sequence”.
This is a movie made in 2004 in USA, directed by Jared Hess.
I know that it isn’t a new film but the reason why I want to post it in here is the original and witty way that we’re going to know the credits of the following movie.

I find this sequence a right choice for introduce to us a screenplay full of strange people and situations.
Director Jared Hess guess the right way to talk about Napoleon and his own world.

Typical Idaho’s dishes, student cards, school library’s cards and a ninja’s star are running on the screen. Real objects are moved by the owner and we are nearly to touch them.
This sequence reminds me at the work of another big director I’d like to talk about soon.
I mean the work of Wes Anderson and his way to describe with love all the things around the main story.

oggi consiglio una produzione isbn edizioni, ma diciamo che le consiglierei quasi tutte le produzioni isbn. questo dvd+libro curato da massimo coppola (del quale sono innamorato dai tempi del suo ‘brand:new’ con sfondo verde e banda bianca) non l’ho ancora visto, ma titaneggia sulla mia libreria tra i buoni propositi del 2010. e siamo solo alla terza di gennaio. ma dovrete pur fidarvi di qualcuno o no?
